In order to have a good time abroad, you must master the basics of english, which is why I'm giving you theses advices:
Try to vary your adverbs used to express a frequency:
Always-> Usually-> Often-> Generally-> Sometimes-> Rarely-> Seldom-> Hardly ever-> Never
(From the most often to the least)
You must also vary your ways of expressing likes and dislikes:
Likes: I'm crazy about / I adore / I love / I'm keen on / I enjoy...
Dislikes : I hate / I can't stand / I'm fed up with / I dislikes / I'm not too keen on...
You should also expand your vocabulary by learning synonyms and antonyms to avoid repetition as well as familiarizing yourself with terms related to your field of study and common academic phrases. (For exemple, "Science et Génie des matériaux" become "Material Science and Engineering")
